Freedom defeat Freedom 1-0

The BSC Freedom defeated the Farmingdale Freedom by the score of 1-0 in the Jefferson Cup in Richmond Virginia this morning. This is the first tournament of the Spring 2010 season and the team is off to a solid start. Emily played entire game at center back and had a very comfortable solid performance. Said her team mate Catherine Madden, "Emily saved our ass a few times out there today." The BSC Freedom's lone goal came in the second half when forwards Pam Vranis and Liz Seligman combined to score the lone goal. Liz sent a worm burner just to the keeper's right and into the back of the Farmingdale net.
